The Soldano ® Caswell X99 Midi Motorized Preamplifier is a rare and highly regarded rack-
mounted guitar preamp designed by Mike Soldano ® in collaboration with Frank Caswell ®.
It was one of the first tube preamps with motorized potentiometers, allowing full MIDI control over
all front panel settings.
Key Features:
The X99 is famous for rich harmonic content, tight low-end response, and smooth high-gain
distortion, very similar to the Soldano ® SLO-100 but with more flexibility.

Soldano ® SLO-100, but with more flexibility due to the MIDI programmability.
